Mad about quiche

There is something about savoury pastry, they are filling and forever yummy, be it at breakfast, evening tea and just about anytime.
I google many pastry recipes for the perfect crust, and i think i manage to comnbine everything and come up with the one I used today for my Beef Quiche
Interested to try ? Here goes:
Pastry
2 cups of plain flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vinegar
1 egg
1/4 cup of good butter (I use Anchor)
1/4 cup of shortening
1/4 cup (or less) of iced water
Blend all ingredients until it resembles bread crumbs. Pour a little bit of water at a time, just enough to hold all the flour together. (PASTRY DOUGH IS NOT INTENDED TO LOOK SMOOTH, IT SHOULD BE COARSE AND DO NOT OVER MIX). Put in plastic bag, and roll it flat and put in fridge for say, 2 hrs. Put in pastry tin, prick with fork, and bake 175 celcius for 10 min (until brown), take out to put in filling.
Ok this morning, I fry 3 burger patties and diced it to small cubes, grated 1/2 cheddar block, diced 1/2 cup of mushroom and have 1/2 cup frozen peas. I mix 3 eggs with 1/2 tsp of salt, 1/2 cup of milk and 1 full spoon of flour and add with grated cheese.
Now to assemble:
Pour the egg mixture to the pastry crust and fill about 3/4. Put the diced beef, patties, mushroom and peas. Bake for another 10 min, 175 celcius.
Serve and bask in the glory of a satisfied cook !!
